"Smart Home" — system, the main purpose of which is to create maximum comfort and convenience. The key difficulty in its creation lies in the choice of the optimal engineering design. It should be such that the user does not experience any problems or difficulties during operation.

To configure the system or send commands to it, you can use several methods, or rather gadgets:

  • personal computer;
  • smartphone;
  • remote or control panel.

They control the system using ready-made scripts or voice commands, as well as in accordance with a pre-designed schedule.

Let's consider the advantages and disadvantages of various modern ways of setting up and adjusting the operation of a smart home system:

  • touch control panel. It is a small LCD display. With it, the user can activate the operation of the equipment, as well as independently create a script for its operation. Panels are available in color and monochrome. The advantage of the touch panel — intuitive interface. To configure, simply select the window in which the control buttons are located. It should be noted that using the touch panel, you can control both the room as a whole and optional groups, for example, lighting or heating devices;
  • remote control. To use it, you must connect the equipment to a radio switch. As a rule, the remote control has 16 channels, and one or more devices can be connected to each of them. Accordingly, all equipment at the facility can be controlled using one gadget. The only downside — the impossibility of setting up the operation of the equipment for several days in advance;
  • personal computer. For the "smart home" system it acts as a kind of server. It remains only to install a special web application on a PC, smartphone or tablet, and the user will be able to control the system. An Internet connection is required to use this method.

Each of the methods has its own advantages and disadvantages, so the choice of device should be based on user preferences and the features of the system itself.
